Sex Education
What is sex education?
The aim of sex education at pro familia is supporting children and young people in their development towards self-determined sexuality. Self-confidence, responsibility, fair relationships and consideration are important to us in this. At the same time we work towards preventing unwanted pregnancies, sexually transmitted diseases and sexual abuse.
As a rule our sex education teams consist of both men and women. In this way, girls and boys have their own contact partners and can talk in separate groups openly and confidentially about love, relationships and sexuality, and have things explained to them according to their own needs.
pro familia also offers parents’ evenings on various topics of sexual development. We advise educational specialists and key influencers on planning sex education events. In ongoing training courses we pass on our knowledge on current topics in sex education – such as how young people deal with sexual content on the internet.
