Contraception and Family Planning

pro familia is a member of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), which works throughout the world for the right to self-determined sexuality. This means that everyone can determine their own sexuality, the number of children they have and the gaps between the births. This right also includes the right to abortion.
Family planning includes informing people about the different methods of contraception so that they can find one suitable for them. If they want a child they can find out about becoming pregnant and about pregnancy and childbirth.

• Advice on the possibilities and risks of antenatal examinations (prenatal diagnosis), on possible findings and their consequences
• Information on childbirth preparation courses, childbirth clinics and midwives
• Preventative healthcare for menstrual complaints, sexual problems or during the menopause
